What is the trade-off for sharing your entire life with strangers
Contrary to The Influencer – which it seems everyone on social media strives to be – is the uninfluencer. The one who guards private portions of their life. The one who does not fall victim to vanity metrics such as Likes, Retweets, Followers, or subscribers.
The Uninfluencer knows it is okay to tell only a select part of their story. It is okay to be private. It is okay to not share everything, to not take photos of every corner of your house, to not interrupt family time with a social media update.
What is the cost of thousands of expertly cropped and curated snaps of a showroom-worthy home or picture-perfect children compared to the pressure to perform to an audience passing through?
All the best,
-Shaun
