Replacing Urgent with Important

appointment blue book desk

I’ve been thinking a lot about how we place priority on events in our lives.

From taking care of our children to finishing work projects, it is easy to become overly focused on the urgent and lose sight of the important.

What if we commit to being more intentional about spending our time on what is important; not just what is urgent?

A late-night email from a client may be urgent, but it is more important than quality time with your spouse? Or spending 30 minutes with your child in the morning over hot cocoa rather than forcefully tackling the To-Do list.

Each day, we are blessed with 1440 minutes. They do not roll over, we cannot save them or sock them away. They are spent regardless of our focus.

What if we commit to being a little more intentional about spending those precious minutes on what is important, not just what is urgent.

All the best,

-Shaun
