How to Overcome Just About Everything

Most of our fears are based on statistical improbabilities. Many are also based on our own insecurities.

When you’re stuck – especially in your craft – recenter yourself by answering a couple of questions:

  • Who is this for?
  • What do I want them to do with it?
  • How do I want them to feel after experiencing it?

When you are honest about who it is for and what you want for them, the fear fades. No longer is it about you and your possible failure, it is about them. And their success.

Suddenly, public speaking is easier. Introductions are easier. Closing the sale is easier. Being vulnerable is easier.

Don’t get trapped in the insecurity loop, instead, focus on the audience. They matter.

All the best,

-Shaun
