An Agency Roadmap for 2015

As we kick off 2015, I am excited to introduce a series revolving around the success of your agency. Over the next 6 weeks, I will be delivering real advice for agency owners and independent consultants.

My true passion is helping others unlock their passion. I believe when you are aligned with your calling, there is a unique fulfillment that cannot be manufactured. It comes only from living out your calling.

Going forward, I will be talking about unshackling the chains that hold us back as agency owners and consultants. Ultimately, we are called to be leaders for our employees and families; with that in mind, we need to be intentional about what we allow to fill our days. We need to know handle stress correctly; we need to understand accountability and communication. We also need to operate our agencies with integrity, professionalism, shrewdness, and efficiency.

The Agency Growth Roadmap consists of 12 chapters, I will be discussing them throughout the year. The first 6 posts, touch on many topics important to running a successful agency or practice.

In the coming weeks, you can look forward to these posts:

1. Finding the Passion & Purpose of Your Agency
2. Money On The Table: How to price your agency’s services
3. Building Your Agency Through Referrals
4. Establishing Agency Thought Leadership & Authority
5. The Perfect Pitch: How to excite customers and close deals
6. Setting the Course: Creating a strategic plan for your agency

The series is designed for both agencies and independent consultants. I will draw from personal experience from owning and operating an agency for nearly 15 years, expert interviews, and courses from thought leaders in various industries.

A successful agency revolves around key principles:

  • People
  • Products
  • Process

More specifically:

  • Purposeful Leadership
  • Pricing, Fees, and Cashflow
  • Employee & Contractor Relationships
  • Vision & Strategy
  • Processes

This is a Collaboration, Not a Competition

The internet is a vast place; truly, there is very little competition. My vision is to create a community of experts who can both share experiences, teach, and learn from others.

I am not the be-all-end-all expert all-things-agencies. But I do have experience and a desire to create a platform to share and swap ideas with others.

Won’t You Join Me

Time is a precious commodity, let’s strive to be the best version of ourselves this year. In return, I am confident that we will all reach new heights in our businesses, families, relationships, and lives.

I look forward to taking this journey and encouraging you along the way!

Shaun
